Role Summary
Magnet Forensics is seeking a Sr. Product Marketing Manager to own and drive go-to-market strategy for our digital forensics, incident response, and AI-powered investigative technology portfolio. Reporting to the VP of Product & Technical Marketing, this role goes beyond executing GTM plans — you will shape them, setting the strategic direction that Sales and Product align behind.
This is a senior, high-visibility role for an experienced product marketer who has operated in cyber security or incident response markets and understands how AI and machine learning are reshaping the way security, digital forensics, and incident response teams work. You’ll be a strategic partner to Product Management, Sales, and Executive leadership — influencing roadmap priorities, market positioning, and company narrative based on deep buyer and market insight, while translating that strategy into messaging that resonates with SOC analysts, incident responders, forensic examiners, and the executives who buy on their behalf.
You bring a data-driven, analytical approach to strategy and enablement, and you’re equally comfortable setting direction at the executive level and rolling up your sleeves to execute it.
Own and drive go-to-market strategy for the security, incident response, and AI product portfolio — setting direction, not just executing against it
Influence Executive leadership, Product, and Sales on market positioning, roadmap priorities, and expansion opportunities using market and competitive intelligence
Set the strategic narrative for how Magnet Forensics competes and wins in the cyber security, DFIR, and AI landscape, and drive alignment across the organization behind it
Develop deep customer and buyer personas for security operations, incident response, and forensic investigation teams, grounded in direct conversations with practitioners
Translate highly technical capabilities — forensic analysis, AI/ML-driven detection and triage, workflow automation — into messaging and strategy that resonates across technical, non-technical, and executive audiences
Partner with Sales and Partner Enablement to define the strategic approach for pitches, conferences, panels, and prospecting throughout the buying cycle
Lead development of sales videos, decks, one-pagers, and battlecards that sharpen the sales team’s ability to tell the product story and differentiate against competitors
Serve as a product expert and evangelist for sales training, demand creation, and trade shows
Partner with Demand Generation and Communications to build integrated plans that drive awareness and engagement through high-impact content within the industry
Partner with the Competitive Intelligence team on the cyber security, DFIR, and AI landscape, turning insight into strategic positioning and actionable guidance for account owners
Work with our customer advocacy team to develop case studies and testimonials from security and incident response customers
Mentor and provide strategic guidance to other members of the product marketing team
7+ years of B2B software product marketing experience, with a track record of owning strategy and increasing scope and seniority
Demonstrated ability to influence Executive stakeholders and drive cross-functional alignment on go-to-market strategy
Background in cyber security or incident response — prior experience marketing to, working alongside, or within SOC, IR, MDR/XDR, or digital forensics teams strongly preferred
Direct experience positioning and messaging AI- or ML-powered product capabilities, along with strong fluency in how AI is reshaping the security and DFIR market and buyer expectations
Strong technical acumen with the ability to quickly synthesize complex technical concepts into clear positioning and strategy for technical, non-technical, and executive audiences
Proven track record of writing effective, high-impact B2B content
Experience building sales enablement materials and content; background in video production a plus
Excellent communication and presentation skills; highly skilled in impactful PowerPoint/deck creation and executive-level presentations
Experience with tools such as SharePoint, Teams, Miro, Asana, and Adobe Suite preferred
Demonstrated ability to lead in a fast-paced environment and operate independently while collaborating across teams
