NOW HIRING: FIRE CAPTAIN 

Location: Toyota Manufacturing Battery Plant

Are you a seasoned fire professional with leadership skills and a passion for safety?
Toyota’s state-of-the-art Battery Manufacturing Plant is looking for a Fire Captain to lead emergency response operations, protect our people, and ensure our facility runs safely and efficiently.


Responsibilities

✅ Oversee fire prevention, suppression, and safety protocols
✅ Conduct drills, inspections, and emergency preparedness exercises
✅ Respond to and manage on-site emergencies
✅ Work closely with safety teams to maintain top-tier compliance

Certified Firefighter with leadership experience
Strong knowledge of industrial fire protection & hazardous materials
Hands-on experience with fire suppression systems & emergency response
Ability to develop and enforce fire safety policies

$25.50 hr. + built-in overtime (Annually est. $84,864.00)

24-hour shifts

0800-0800 Duty hours

24 on/24 off/24 on/24 off/24 on/ 96 off


  • NEW firehouse in operation
  • All new amenities in the firehouse
  • New Pierce 100 ft. Ladder Truck in operation
  • New Pierce Engine
  • New Brush Truck
  • New firefighter turnout gear
  • 5.11 station uniforms
  • Understand and follow all Standard Operating Procedures
  • Follow the Emergency Action and Communication Plans and all Standard Operating Procedures for emergencies
  • Complete incident reports as required
  • Responds to all fire/medical/security/hazmat/threat situations according to Emergency Response Plan and Standard Operating Procedures and Medical Director Protocols
  • Performs routine daily/weekly/monthly inspections on fire alarm/fire suppression/and security equipment
  •  Physically inspect all fire suppression systems, including but not limited to:
    • Sprinkler System
    • Manual and Automatic Alarm initiating devices
    • Fire Panels
    • Standpipe Hoses
  • Perform daily inspections on apparatus, fire vehicles, and emergency response equipment
  • Patrol facilities for fire or building code violations and additional safety hazards; report to supervisor
  • Approve and inspect all hot works and high-hazard hot works and confined space permits
  • Participate in daily training on emergency response to maintain readiness
  • Maintain compliance with personal Fire/Medical/Hazmat certifications as required by local mandate
  • Demonstrates experience managing multiple tasks, executing radio and telephone communications, and performing in a high-pressure environment
  • Other duties to be determined by direct report and/or management

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years of paid fire service experience
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a supervisory role
  • Certified Firefighter 1 and 2
  • NIMS 100, 200, 300, 700, 800
  • EMR or higher certification (EMT/Paramedic)
  • Current driver’s license  
  • Pass an NFPA 1582 physical examination and drug test

Nice to Have

  • Experience as a Lieutenant or comparable
  • Fire Instructor I
  • Apparatus operator
