Unarmed Security Officer

Marksman Security is looking for qualified candidates to join our team of dedicated and compassionate security officers and firefighters.

• →Rover — Vehicle/foot patrols; deter theft, vandalism, and suspicious activity
• →Gatehouse — Access control; greet and ID residents/guests, log vehicles, announce visitors
• →Front Desk — Customer service, access control, CCTV monitoring, package distribution, visitor announcements

• →Acknowledge and greet all residents and guests in a prompt and courteous manner
• →Manage all guest/visitor access as needed and eject trespassers or violators from premises when deemed necessary
• →Verify credentials of incoming and outgoing individuals/vehicles
• →Document and maintain a log of visitors and notify residents of visitor’s arrival
• →Assist in protecting others and equipment while enforcing policies and procedures
• →Monitor and/or detect any suspicious behavior to assist in the prevention of vandalism, theft and/or other criminal behavior
• →Monitor surveillance cameras and alarms
• →Patrol the perimeter (interior/exterior) to identify potential safety and security risks
• →Warn violators of infractions e.g., loitering, smoking and/or possession of prohibited items
• →Respond to calls of distress, alarms and/or emergencies such as fire, injuries or presence of unauthorized individuals by contacting local first responders
• →Identify and report any and all concerns (safety, security breaches, unusual circumstances) in a timely manner
• →Ensures accuracy and timely submission of required documentation (reports/documents)
• →Ensure all rules/regulations are being enforced and followed
• →Other duties to be determined by management

• Must be at least 21 years of age or older
• High school degree or equivalent
• Valid Texas state licensing required
• Professional demeanor and appearance
• Basic computer skills
• Must be able to multitask and prioritize assigned tasks
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
• Minimum of one year of customer service experience
• Minimum of one year of security experience
• Must be able to pass pre-employment screening (background and drug)
• This position will require occasional crawling, crouching, climbing of stairs, kneeling, running, sitting, standing, stooping and walking for extended periods of time
