Retail Sales Associate - 1   JOB SUMMARY: To provide an exceptional shopping experience for every customer and assist store leadership in performing daily operations and objectives of the store.   PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONBILITIES: The below listing of essential and periodic functions is not an inclusive listing of all duties that may be requested to be performed by supervisor or manager. Provide exceptional sales assistance and customer service by acknowledging all customers and being attentive to shopper’s needs. Stock merchandise and maintain inventory levels in accordance with store processes and procedures. Price and label products in accordance with store processes and procedures. Ensure fast and accurate service during customer shopping and check-out process. Perform general store maintenance and cleaning as assigned.   SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist in large event sales, including the bi-annual Mason Tent Sale, Black Friday and Small Business Saturday. Assist in performing annual inventory in accordance with store processes and procedures.   EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Must be at least 16 years old. High School Diploma or equivalent, preferred but not required. 1-2 years of progressively responsible retail experience preferred. Cash handling experience strongly preferred. Merchandising experience desired (Floor/Window Displays)   KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES Outgoing, friendly, positive and customer-focused Ability to commit to scheduled work hours with a reliable mode of transportation Self-motivated with a strong attention to detail Demonstrated ability to build relationships and communicate at all levels, both inside and outside of the organization Committed to an environment which embraces diversity, equity and inclusion Innovative
