POSITION DUTIES
The Comptroller of Maryland is seeking an experienced Workday Payroll Technical Systems Administrator to support, enhance, and optimize our Workday platform with a focus on Payroll functionality. This role plays a key part in ensuring the reliability, accuracy, and performance of Workday Payroll processes, integrations, and system configurations. The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise in Workday —particularly in Payroll configuration and troubleshooting—paired with excellent analytical and problem solving skills.\r\n
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Experience: Eight years of experience designing, developing, testing, implementing and maintaining applications, communication, database or operating systems software.\r\nNOTES:\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n Candidates may substitute graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate and thirty credit hours from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Computer Information Technology, Management Information Systems or other information technology-related field to include coursework in application, communication, database or operating systems software technology�for four years of the required experience.\r\n Candidates may substitute graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate and one year of experience designing, developing, testing, implementing and maintaining application, communication, database or operating systems software for four years of the required experience.\r\n Candidates may substitute the possession of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Computer Information Technology, Management Information Systems or other information technology-related field to include coursework in application, communication, database or operating systems software technology and four years of experience designing, developing, testing, implementing and maintaining application, communication, database or operating systems software for the required experience.\r\n Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military�service experience as a commissioned officer in the�Computer Systems Operations classifications or Computer Systems Operations specialty codes in the Information Technology field of work on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.\r\n\r\n** For education obtained outside of the U.S., you will be required to provide proof of the equivalent American education as determined by a foreign credential evaluation service. If you possess a degree obtained outside of the United States, please submit a detailed, course-by-course evaluation report from one of the U.S. equivalency evaluating members identified at http://www.naces.org/members.html.\r\n\r\n
DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
\r\n Experience with Workday functional areas - Human Resource & Payroll\r\n Experience with Workday integration development including EIB/XSLT, Workday Public Web Services and�Studio.\r\n Experience creating Workday custom reports and calculated fields.\r\n Understanding of Workday security.\r\n BIRT experience is preferred.\r\n Ability to work and communicate effectively with internal and external resources.\r\n Boomi experience is a plus.\r\n Workday certification is a plus and Workday Pro U.S. Payroll certification preferred.\r\n Experience with Workday administration preferred.\r\n Experience with Workday Payroll administration preferred.\r\n \r\n\r\n
