Emergency Locum Physician for Northwest Territories

MDSearch is recruiting ER physicians to join Inuvik Regional Hospital, a 51-bed facility with 12 acute care beds and the only hospital serving the Beaufort-Delta region. The role consists of standard 12-hour shifts with no on-call requirements. Patient volume typically includes 25–30 in-person patients over a 24-hour period, in addition to approximately 5–15 community call patients within the same timeframe. Shifts are generally scheduled as 12 hours, with occasional 8-hour shifts, though these are rare. Compensation: Hourly rate (no fee for service). Requirements: CCFP (required) ACLS Vulnerable Sector Clearance Comfortable working independently in a rural ER Eligible for licensure in the Northwest Territories CCFP-EM certification is not required Benefits: Travel and accommodations fully covered (meals not included) Travel stipend up to $2,000 for locums travelling to Inuvik (based on travel time) Locum blocks are typically 1–2 weeks, with longer assignments available Why the Northwest Territories?
