Irrigation / Landscaping Labourer

Milestone Equipment Contracting Inc is currently seeking a motivated and hardworking Irrigation / Landscaping Labourer to join our growing team. The successful candidate will assist with a variety of landscaping and irrigation-related tasks on residential, commercial, and civil construction projects.

This role includes, but is not limited to, installing and maintaining irrigation systems, site preparation, planting, grading, laying sod, and general landscape construction labour. The ideal candidate is reliable, physically fit, and eager to learn. Experience is an asset, but we are willing to train the right candidate who has a strong work ethic and a positive attitude.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist with installation, maintenance, and repair of irrigation systems
• Trenching, pipe laying, and backfilling for irrigation and drainage systems
• Planting trees, shrubs, flowers, and laying sod or seed
• Grading, raking, and preparing soil or aggregate surfaces
• Operating hand and power tools safely and effectively
• Material handling and transportation of tools, equipment, and landscaping materials
• Assisting with hardscape installations such as patios, retaining walls, and pathways
• Site cleanup and maintaining an organized, safe work environment
• Follow directions from supervisors and team leaders
• Adhere to company safety policies and procedures
• Work collaboratively with crew members to meet project deadlines

Qualifications & Skill Requirements:

• Previous landscaping and irrigation experience is an asset
• Willingness to learn and be trained on the job
• Ability to perform physically demanding work in all weather conditions
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Ability to work well in a team environment
• Experience operating small equipment is an asset
• Valid driver’s license is an asset
• Strong communication and time management skills
• Attention to detail and pride in workmanship
