As a Home Health Pediatric Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) at MedCare Pediatric, you’ll provide personalized, one-on-one care while helping children develop essential communication, feeding, and swallowing skills. Working in the child’s natural environment allows you to build meaningful relationships with patients and families while supporting their progress.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program
  • Current Texas Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license, or eligible to obtain licensure by the anticipated start date
  • One year of experience preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply
  • Pediatric experience preferred
  • Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Provide speech and language therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist
  • Support treatment plans addressing communication, articulation, language development, feeding, and swallowing needs
  • Monitor patient progress and communicate updates with supervising SLPs and the care team
  • Assist with implementing individualized treatment plans to support each child's goals
  • Collaborate with families, caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members to promote carryover and progress
  • Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation
  • Flexible scheduling with Full-Time, Part-Time, and PRN opportunities
