We are seeking a Managing Partner to lead our MEDiSTRAVA Consulting business, which includes medical consulting teams across the UK, US, and Japan, together with a UK-based investor relations capability.

Reporting into senior leadership, the Managing Partner will provide strategic direction across the business, with responsibility for commercial growth, financial performance, and operational leadership. The role combines P&L ownership, senior client engagement, business development, and team leadership, with a focus on strengthening MEDiSTRAVA’s position as a leader in medical affairs strategy and operations.

Acting as a trusted advisor to pharmaceutical and biotechnology clients, you will guide the design and delivery of complex, high-impact consulting engagements, translating scientific and clinical insights into actionable business strategies. You will also play a key role in expanding MEDiSTRAVA’s global presence and driving integration with the wider Inizio Medical offering.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and delivery of the Consulting strategic plan and growth strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives and financial targets.
  • Own and drive business development through pipeline generation, strategic account growth and conversion of new opportunities.
  • Provide senior strategic counsel to clients , particularly in relation to developing and implementing novel impactful medical affairs strategies across a wide range of therapeutic areas.
  • Utilise insight-driven approaches and knowledge of how different audiences interact to influence and change care pathways to ultimately drive successful product commercialisation.
  • Advise Clients on optimising team performance from appropriate set-up through to impact measures and technology adoption notably utilising AI appropriately and effectively.
  • Build and maintain strong senior-level client relationships, positioning MEDiSTRAVA Consulting as a trusted strategic partner.
  • Maintain financial accountability for the Consulting function, including revenue growth, profitability, forecasting, and budget management.
  • Lead, manage and develop a high-performing consulting team, including recruitment, workforce planning, succession planning, and capability development.
  • Drive effective cross-functional collaboration across Inizio to deliver integrated client solutions.
  • An advanced degree in life sciences or a related discipline.
  • Experience leading a consulting practice or business unit.
  • Substantial experience within a Consultancy setting supporting pharmaceutical and biotechnology Clients, including demonstrable expertise in medical affairs.
  • Proven ability to operate at a senior strategic level, providing high-quality insights and recommendations to clients.
  • Demonstrated success in business development, including pipeline generation, client engagement and conversion of opportunities.
  • Strong financial management and accountability expertise, with previous experience in ownership of revenue and profitability targets.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build effective relationships and work collaboratively across matrixed organisations.
  • Highly developed analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
  • A strong understanding of medical communications and the integration of strategic and tactical delivery.
  • Significant experience in team leadership and management, with the ability to drive performance and support professional development.
