We're looking for a Payroll Specialist to own end-to-end payroll processing across all company entities. This role also administers our 401(k) program and manages leave of absence cases including FMLA, short-term disability, and workers' compensation ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strong employee experience throughout.

- Process end-to-end bi-weekly and semi-monthly payroll through Paylocity, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance across multiple entities and jurisdictions.
- Administer the Company's 401(k) program, including enrollments, contribution changes, loans, employee inquiries, vendor coordination, and compliance support.
- Manage employee leave programs, including FMLA, Short-Term Disability (STD), and Workers' Compensation, ensuring accurate case management, documentation, and compliance with applicable federal and state laws.
- Process employee lifecycle transactions, including new hires, compensation changes, status changes, terminations, and final pay.
- Reconcile payroll data, investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies, and prepare payroll reports.
- Respond to employee payroll, leave, and benefits-related inquiries while maintaining confidentiality of employee information.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations and employment laws.
- Partner with Human Resources, Finance, and external vendors, including payroll providers, retirement plan administrators, and leave/workers' compensation carriers.
- Support payroll, 401(k), workers' compensation audits, year-end payroll processes (including W-2s), and other special projects as assigned.
Requirements
~1 min read- 5 + years of experience processing multi-entity and/or multi-state payroll.
- Experience administering 401(k) plans and employee leave programs, including FMLA, Short-Term Disability (STD), and Workers' Compensation.
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll tax, wage and hour, and employment laws.
- Proficiency with Paylocity or a comparable payroll/HRIS system.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent organizational skills with a high degree of accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
