Internal Medicine Licensed Veterinary Technician

We are looking for: Internal Medicine LVT

Shift:  Wednesday - Saturday 8am - 6pm 

The Internal Medicine team is constantly working with our internists to provide information to our clients regarding patient care, updates and treatments. This is one department that focuses on relationship building as patient care is longer in duration. If you want to combine your love of animals and clients, this is the department for you! !  

What you’ll do:  

• Set up constant rate infusions (CRI). 
• Calculates all medical math including advanced and CRI (mcg/mg, %/mg, etc). 
• Induce, monitor and recover patients from anesthesia 
• Set up for ultrasound and radiology procedures. 
• Set up and assist with endoscopic procedures (GI, nasal, urinary, airway). 
• Patient discharge and client education  

 Who you are:  

• State Registered Veterinary Technician license required 
  • MedVet provides license transfer assistance
• Prior veterinary experience required, previous emergency experience desired 
• Proficient in calculations (drugs, constant rate infusions, unit conversions, etc.) 
• Flexibility with work hours and able to work additional hours when necessary 
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment 
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills 

Compensation:  

This position has an initial hiring range of $24.00 to $40.00 per hour based on skillset and experience.

We support our caregivers with lucrative shift differentials: 

-Hours worked between 8pm and 11:59pm = base pay + $2/hour

-Hours worked between 12am to 7:59am = base pay + $3/hour

-Hours worked on Weekends (day or night) = base pay +$1/hour + any applicable differential
