About the Role
As a Lead Editor and Animator on the Growth Creative team, you will be the lead storyteller responsible for shaping the visual narrative of Meesho. You won’t just "cut footage"—you will define how our users perceive our brand through high-impact video content. You will oversee the post-production lifecycle, ensuring every piece of content, from 15-second performance ads to long-form educational masterclasses, is optimized for engagement and conversion.You will act as a bridge between creative vision and technical execution, mentoring junior editors and collaborating with Art Directors to elevate the quality of our video output across all platforms.
What You Will Do
End-to-End Post-Production: Lead the editing process for high-stakes marketing campaigns, including brand films, social media content (Reels/Shorts), and YouTube educational series.
Narrative Leadership: Take raw footage and scripts and transform them into compelling stories that resonate with Meesho’s diverse user base across India.
Performance Optimization: Use data-driven insights from the Growth team to iterate on video edits, testing different hooks and CTAs to maximize user acquisition and retention.
Creative Directing: Collaborate with Motion Designers to integrate high-end VFX and graphics, ensuring a seamless blend of live-action and animation.
Workflow Management: Establish and maintain efficient post-production workflows, including file management, version control, and archival of assets.
Stakeholder Management: Present final cuts to senior leadership and business heads, articulating the "why" behind creative choices and how they solve business problems.
Mentorship: Provide guidance and technical feedback to junior editors and motion designers to maintain a high bar of creative excellence.
AI Workflow Integration: Proactively implement AI tools (e.g., Firefly, Runway, ElevenLabs, or Midjourney) to automate repetitive tasks like rotoscoping, voiceover generation, and background expansion.
Efficiency Benchmarking: Reduce turnaround times for high-volume performance ads by leveraging AI-assisted editing and automated captioning tools.
Generative Innovation: Use generative AI to create high-fidelity assets or B-roll when traditional resources are unavailable, ensuring no compromise on visual storytelling.
