Mercer Global Advisors is looking for a Trade Support Specialist to support the trading desk. The candidate will have knowledge of financial markets and proven troubleshooting skills. The successful applicant will be able to handle multiple tasks, manage priorities and maintain strong relationships with the trading desk, internal operations groups, vendors and advisors while working in a fast-paced and demanding environment. The group works closely with business partners, clients, and various operating departments throughout the firm to ensure superior client service, daily process efficiency, control, and mitigation of operational risk. The ideal candidate will have 1 to 3 years of experience in an investment management environment.
- Reconciliation of trading affirmation/confirmation platforms
- Research/resolve settlement breaks
- Trade error management between internal and external trading desks
- Monitor trade queues and various bond product ratings
- Ensure compliance of regulatory rules with a focus on process improvement and efficiency
- Work closely with our external trading platform support team and account operations team
- New Product Onboarding
- System Implementation
- Proxy voting management
- Monitoring best execution reports across all custodians
- Research and resolution of all client and desk related ad-hoc queries
- Execute trades to back up trading desk
- Bachelor's degree required
- Preferably Business, Economics, Accounting or Finance related
- At least 2 years of experience in a professional investment management environment preferred
- Excellent communication skills with a strong ability to prioritize, multi-task and troubleshoot
- Experience with Orion, Bloomberg, Salesforce and Microsoft Excel a plus
