We're looking for a Senior JAVA Engineer who loves working on complex technical challenges and building reliable systems. In this role, you'll have ownership across execution technology, the platforms and connectivity layers that keep trading systems running.

Independently designing and building technical solutions based on requirements;
Spotting gaps or unclear requirements early and proactively reaching out to the right teams for answers;

Preparing change documentation and guiding releases through the formal approval process;

Working directly with external brokers on connectivity, messaging formats, and integration testing;

Balancing multiple priorities at once, new features, production issues, support requests, and releases;

Operating day-to-day within the project tools, codebase, infrastructure, and processes as part of the project team.

7+ years of experience as a software engineer;
Strong experience with Java (Spring Boot), Apache Kafka, and microservices architecture;

Confidence navigating and contributing to large, unfamiliar codebases;

Solid understanding of messaging protocols and data mapping;

Financial services background (trade execution, order management, or market connectivity) would be considered as advantage;

Experience working in regulated or institutional environments;

Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins or similar);

Comfort using AI-assisted development tools;

Ability to work independently and drive things forward;

Strong communication skills with a proactive, speak-up mindset.

FIX protocol experience;

Exposure to hedge fund or sell-side trading technology;

Familiarity with OMS, TMS and EMS systems (trading);

Docker/containerisation experience.

Salary ranges from 5500 EUR gross (the given range is flexible and depends on your experience).
