Nature of Work
The fundamental reason this position exists is to work in the Planetarium auditorium. The work\r\nresponsibilities of this classification include: developing and presenting\r\nPlanetarium shows; coordinating and overseeing daily operations of the\r\nPlanetarium; assisting the Planetarium Director; and performing\r\nadministrative duties. This position works under the general supervision of the\r\nPlanetarium Director.\r\n
Minimum Qualifications
High\r\nSchool Diploma or GED equivalent and two (2) years of customer service\r\nincluding experience with public speaking.\r\n\r\n\r\nNOTE:� Qualifying education, training and experience\r\nthat provide the requisite knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the job\r\nwill be considered.\r\n\r\n
Special Requirements
Must be willing to work non-standard 40\r\nhours per week, generally within 8:00am to 6:00pm, with extended\r\nhours on weekdays and weekends, be available on evenings and holidays on a\r\nregular and/or rotating basis, work around moderate to high noise levels, work long periods in the\r\nsun and work at night standing and operating telescopes.� Must be willing to use ladders, and work outdoors in various weather conditions.\r\n
