About the Role
~1 min readMG Properties is seeking a Financial Analyst to join our Asset Management team. This position plays an important role in maximizing the performance and value of our multifamily residential portfolio through financial analysis, forecasting, data interpretation, and cross-functional collaboration. The Financial Analyst will provide insights that support investment decisions, portfolio strategy, and operational improvements.
This is an excellent opportunity for an analytical and detail-oriented professional who is interested in real estate, enjoys working with financial data, and is motivated to help improve processes and portfolio performance.
This position is primarily onsite, with the potential for a hybrid work schedule based on business needs.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Monitor and evaluate the financial performance of multifamily assets, including occupancy, rental income, operating expenses, and capital expenditures.
- →Develop, update, and maintain detailed financial models and forecasts.
- →Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for internal stakeholders and investors.
- →Support the property budgeting process, including reviewing and updating budget templates, preparing individual property and corporate expense budgets, reviewing submitted budgets, and developing budget summaries.
- →Assist with business plans, due diligence, financial analysis, stabilization budgets, and cash flow forecasts for existing assets and potential acquisitions.
- →Lead the Asset Management department’s implementation and use of AI to improve departmental processes and functions.
- →Participate in strategy discussions related to leasing, renovations, refinancing, and property dispositions.
- →Support senior leadership with portfolio strategy, valuations, and investor presentations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Real Estate, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
- Two to four years of experience in real estate asset management, investment analysis, or a related field.
- Multifamily real estate experience is preferred.
- Strong proficiency in Excel, AI tools, financial modeling, and real estate software such as Yardi, MRI, or a comparable platform.
- Microsoft Office Specialist or Excel Expert certification is preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Clear and effective written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to present financial information and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Self-motivated, professional, and able to succeed in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
