We provide a safe workplace, competitive compensation, opportunities for advancement, and the chance to build a long-term career with a company that is trusted by the communities it serves.   Summary: This Welder role focuses on inspecting, repairing, and maintaining waste equipment such as compactors and bins, while handling service calls, installations, and occasional emergency work. The position requires strong welding, mechanical, and hydraulics experience, along with troubleshooting skills and a safety-first approach. A valid driver’s license is required, and additional certifications or technical education are considered assets.   Responsibilities: In the position of a Welder, your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to: Completing inspections, installation, service repairs, and maintenance on waste equipment such as compactors, waste bins, garbage chutes and bin pullers. Inspections and repairs on waste bins - completing quotes, service calls and work orders on a daily basis. Pre-site inspections with sales and supervisor as part of installation process. Emergency after hour service, as needed. Always Providing exceptional customer service and communicating with management and maintenance staff at each location. You will also be responsible for daily circle checks of work vehicles and maintaining material level of work vehicles. Other duties as assigned. Competencies & Qualifications: A safety-first attitude with a familiarity with the Occupational Health & Safety Act and your responsibilities within it. Previous welding experience is required. CWB Certification is considered a strong and desirable asset. Previous mechanical and hydraulics experience is required. Intermediate experience and knowledge on electrical and hydraulics systems is desirable. Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot faults on electrical and hydraulic systems. Post-secondary education in industrial mechanics is considered a definite asset. Must possess a valid Class 5 license with a clean drivers abstract. This posting is for an existing vacancy.
