The Global Investment Office (GIO) is the investment and research hub within Morgan Stanley Wealth Management, comprising more than 250 analysts, strategists, and planners dedicated to supporting financial advisors and their clients. Led by the Wealth Management CIO, GIO develops the firm’s investment strategy by integrating financial planning, asset allocation, and portfolio construction insights. Serving as an extension of an advisor’s practice, GIO provides the tools, research, and intellectual capital to help advisors deepen client engagement, enhance investment performance, scale their businesses, and drive growth across all client segments.
Ultra-High Net-Worth (UHNW) Planning is a team within the Financial Planning department of Morgan Stanley’s Global Investment Office dedicated to Wealth Management’s ultra-high net-worth and institutional clients. The team has two mandates:
* Client Strategy – Consult on live client and prospect cases from the PWM, Graystone, OCIO, and MS Family Office channels, devising holistic investment and wealth planning strategies
* Product Development – Build and enhance a platform of proprietary investment tools leveraged by financial advisor teams
UHNW Planning frequently addresses asset allocation and estate planning strategies, but also gets involved in a variety of complex situations including advanced wealth planning, employee stock options, private equity commitments, single stock strategies and structured products.
The Product Development team of UHNW Planning is seeking an individual to join as a Product Owner supporting our platform of ultra-high net worth and institutional investing tools. This is a unique opportunity to be introduced to the technology and software development space at Morgan Stanley, where you will collaborate directly with financial advisors, internal business units and technology to manage, improve and scale our enterprise offering.
The product owner will own all workflow and implementation decisions for their silo of products. This involves collaborating on frameworks with the other product owners, socializing possible solutions with stakeholders and field users, communicating requirements and acceptance criteria with Technology, and testing that all implementation is carried out correctly.
