Responsible for field service, maintenance, repairs, and inspection of elevator systems on board ships and offshore installations.

  • Conducts technical and periodic inspections to ensure elevator systems meet required standards.

  • Performs planned, preventive, and corrective maintenance on electrical and mechanical components.

  • Troubleshoots, diagnoses, and resolves elevator malfunctions.

  • Executes major mechanical repairs, replacements, and adjustments.

  • Conducts technical site surveys, modernization, and retrofits.

  • Prepares timely reports on system performance, issues, and required replacements.

  • Collaborates with team members and customers to deliver high-quality service.

  • Ensures safety protocols are followed at all times.

  • Works closely with technical specialists for optimal service delivery.

  • Extensive knowledge of traction elevators, preferably with multi-brand experience.

  • Experience with escalators and rack & pinion elevators is an advantage.

  • Strong understanding of elevator codes, policies, and procedures.

  • Excellent knowledge of health and safety regulations.

  • Ability to work independently, efficiently, and accurately.

  • Proficient in maintenance and inspection procedures, with the ability to explain and demonstrate them.

  • Skilled in troubleshooting and diagnosing complex elevator malfunctions.

  • Knowledgeable in multi-brand inverter drives and controllers.

  • Provides leadership by instructing, training, and reviewing junior technicians’ work.

  • Professional and courteous in interactions with customers, co-workers, and contractors.

Requirements

  • Diploma or degree in engineering, preferably in mechanical, electrical, or instrumentation.

  • Relevant professional qualification (diploma or certificate in elevator engineering).

  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in the installation and service of traction/hydraulic elevators.

  • Strong understanding of business and technical English.

  • Fluent in English and at least one other language, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Willingness to travel both domestically and internationally.

  • Ability to pass offshore medical fitness tests.

  • Eagerness to learn and grow professionally.

  • Driver’s Licence.

  • Independent, positive, and detail-oriented.

  • Solution-focused, with a proactive mindset.

  • Strong team player.

  • Dependable, with a strong work ethic.

  • Self-motivated and takes initiative.

  • Well-organized with strong multitasking abilities.
