The Medical Aesthetician (Cosmetic Injector) provides non-surgical cosmetic injectable services within Michigan State Universitys Aesthetic and Laser Treatment Center. The position is responsible for conducting aesthetic consultations, developing individualized treatment plans, administering cosmetic injectable procedures within the individual's legal scope of practice, and delivering exceptional client-centered care in accordance with university policies and applicable state and federal regulations. The Medical Aesthetician collaborates with the Medical Director and the multidisciplinary aesthetic team to promote safe, evidence-based aesthetic treatments while supporting the continued growth of the Aesthetic and Laser Treatment Center.
Requirements
~1 min readKnowledge normally acquired by completing specialized training such as that acquired in one year of college, technical, vocational or trade school such as a state approved cosmetology program; five to eight years of experience as an Aesthetician in a high volume environment; experience in Broad Band/Intense Pulsed Light Energy lasers; experience with HALO Profractional Laser; knowledge of Cosmeceutical Ingredient; or an equivalent combination of education and experience; must possess an active Michigan Aesthetician Certification. Minimum Qualifications Current Michigan licensure or certification authorizing the individual to perform cosmetic injectable procedures within their legal scope of practice.
Demonstrates education, training, or experience in aesthetic medicine. Excellent communication, consultation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively with aesthetic staff. Commitment to providing exceptional client service while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism, ethics, and safety.
- Experience performing cosmetic neuromodulator and dermal filler injections.
- Strong understanding of facial anatomy, facial balancing, and aesthetic treatment planning.
- Experience in medical aesthetics, dermatology, plastic surgery, facial plastics, or medical spa practice.
- Experience utilizing electronic medical record systems.
- Demonstrated commitment to continuing education and evidence-based aesthetic practice.
- Proven ability to establish long-term client relationships while delivering exceptional service.
