Technical Aide

This is a temporary or an on-call position. Provides technical support. Responsibilities may include computer programming or operations; research support; medical patient care; technical equipment maintenance, repair, fabrication or operation; or other technical support functions.

Assist with projects across the Parks Connections Lab. Work includes data collection, synthesis, and reporting on multiple sponsored projects (e.g., public use of wildlife areas, ORV recreation patterns, outdoor recreation displacement). This entails primary and secondary data collection in teams of scientists, students, and managers. Assignments will be collaborative and individual, with high expectations of performance. 

Minimum Qualifications:

1) Enthusiasm and interest in outdoor recreation research

2) Ability in working within in-person and remote teams

3) Organized, reliable, and team-oriented

4) Hold a valid US drivers license

5) Communicative

6) Technical writing and presentation skills for managers and academic audiences

Desired Qualifications:

1) Prior experience in Michigan outdoor recreation research context

2) Prior experience with literature reviews
