Position Overview:
As the Automotive Used Car Buyer, you will be responsible for acquiring pre-owned vehicles for our dealership. Your role will involve evaluating trade-ins, attending auctions, and building relationships with wholesalers and private sellers to ensure our inventory meets our high standards and customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities:
Evaluate and appraise trade-in vehicles accurately and efficiently.
Attend auctions and source pre-owned vehicles that meet our quality and inventory needs.
Build and maintain relationships with wholesalers, private sellers, and other sources of used vehicles.
Negotiate purchase prices to ensure profitability and competitiveness.
Monitor market trends and adjust purchasing strategies accordingly.
Ensure all acquired vehicles meet our quality standards and reconditioning requirements.
Maintain accurate records of vehicle purchases and transactions.
Collaborate with the sales team to understand inventory needs and preferences.
Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities.

Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in automotive purchasing or used car buying.
Strong knowledge of vehicle appraisal techniques and market trends.
Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
Ability to build and maintain professional relationships.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Proficient in using automotive software and tools for vehicle sourcing and appraisal.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
