Supply Chain – Transportation Management System team
Full-Time | On-Site
POSITION SUMMARY
The Logistics Specialist supports the Transportation Management team by coordinating LTL shipments, managing TMS data, and communicating with carriers, buyers, and vendors. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and eager to grow in logistics and supply chain.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage LTL orders end-to-end, including FedEx Freight bill of lading (BOL) creation, distribution to shippers, and general rate quoting.
Review, revise, and follow up on LTL orders to ensure accuracy and on-time execution.
Coordinate with freight carriers and internal buyers to confirm schedules and address delays or exceptions.
Review and enter freight bid responses, ensuring all submitted rates are captured and accurate.
Support the team in managing and updating FTL orders as assigned, including order revisions for dates, release order, and freight rates and allowances.
Perform accurate data entry and daily operations within the TMS.
Archive and organize the team’s email inbox to be searchable and workable.
Review freight payables not automatically processed by the system and close with supervisor direction.
Contact freight carriers to initiate resolution for aging bills, billing discrepancies, and invoice disputes.
Support the team on projects, assignments, and process improvement initiatives as directed.
Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Clear written and verbal communication skills; comfortable working with carriers, vendors, and internal teams.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Teams for data tracking and team collaboration.
Willingness to learn in the transportation industry; able to work both independently and collaboratively.
Preferred / Bonus Qualifications
Experience with FedEx Ship Manager software. — Strongly preferred
Experience with a Transportation Management System (TMS). — Strongly preferred
1+ years of experience in a logistics, shipping, or supply chain role.
Familiarity with LTL freight operations, BOL creation, carrier rate structures, or freight invoicing.
WORK ENVIRONMENT & SCHEDULE
Standard business hours, Monday through Friday.
Office-based environment within the TMS team within Supply Chain department.
May require occasional extended hours during peak shipping periods or special projects.
