Captain – 57ft Alia – Private (Seasonal or Full-Time) US Flagged vessel - U.S. passport required Start date: April/May 2026 Vessel flag: US Vessel Type: 57ft twin inboard with sea keeper and bow thruster Itinerary: Montauk, NY (seasonal) Homeport: Montauk, NY Accommodations: Not provided Berthing arrangements: Primarily based out of Montauk Yacht Club and private dockage Crew: Sole crew position Seeking a professional and proactive captain to manage and operate a 2023 Alia 57 alongside smaller support vessels, including a Technohull GTX and Williams Dieseljet 505. This is a private family program based in Montauk with primarily seasonal usage from May through October, focused on day trips (no overnights). The role involves full responsibility for vessel operation, maintenance, trip preparation, and coordination of cleaning and servicing. Usage is typically weekend-based (Friday–Sunday) with occasional weekday trips. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, punctual, and an excellent communicator. This is a hands-on role requiring someone who is detail-oriented, professional, family-friendly, and able to work around children while maintaining a low-profile onboard presence. Requirements: USCG Captain’s License (appropriate for vessel size) Strong communication skills is a must Proven experience running similar-sized vessels Strong maintenance and operational knowledge Comfortable working around families and children Ability to manage provisioning, stocking, and light housekeeping standards onboard Capable of coordinating maintenance schedules, cleaning, and repairs Professional and personable demeanor Responsibilities: Seasonal commissioning and decommissioning (splashing and haul-out) Safe operation of the vessel throughout the season Trip preparation and post-trip breakdown Ongoing cleaning, detailing, and upkeep Managing fuel, servicing, and general maintenance Provisioning (basic beverages, snacks, towels, supplies) with support from EA Coordinating vendors, cleaning, and upkeep schedules Package: Salary: DOE (flexible depending on experience) Employment structure: Seasonal: 1099, no benefits Full-time: W2, full benefits Contract: Formal contract to be provided
