Assistant Director of Engineering – Resort

Responsibilities

→High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree in engineering, facilities management, or related field preferred.
→5+ years of progressive maintenance/engineering experience in a hotel, resort, or large commercial facility, including 2+ years in a supervisory role.
→Trade license or certification a plus (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or Chief Engineer certification).

Strong working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, pool/spa systems, and building automation systems.
Understanding of fire/life safety systems and local building/safety codes.
Proven leadership, team-building, and staff development skills.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects.
Proficiency with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and Microsoft Office.
Excellent communication and guest service skills.
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and on-call/emergency response.

Requirements

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in varied environmental conditions (heat, cold, heights, confined spaces).
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the property for extended periods.
