The Role
The Senior Finance Business Partner will lead financial planning, budgeting, and analytical support for the mines, ensuring accurate and timely financial information that drives operational decision making. Reporting to the Finance Manager, this role is responsible for budgets, forecasts, variance analysis, and internal reporting. You will partner closely with operational leaders to enhance cost transparency, identify performance trends, and improve financial outcomes.

Key Accountabilities
Financial Planning & Analysis

Lead development of life‑of‑mine plans, annual budgets, and recurring forecasts.
Prepare monthly financial reporting packages, including detailed variance analysis and performance insights.
Build and maintain financial and operational models to support decision analytics and business cases.

Operational & Business Partnership

Analyze business data, KPIs, and financial reports using advanced analytics tools.
Partner with operational leaders to understand cost drivers and support cost‑management initiatives.
Provide scenario modeling and ad‑hoc financial analysis as required.

Collaboration & Governance

Collaborate with the accounting team to support accurate and timely month‑end close.
Support half‑year reviews, year‑end audits, and other compliance-related activities.
Deliver special projects and strategic analyses for the General Manager and Finance Manager.

Required Education & Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
10+ years of experience preferred, ideally in mining or manufacturing.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel required.
Experience with SAP and Vena preferred.

Strong financial acumen across budgeting, planning, and cost analysis.
Ability to interpret performance trends and translate insights into actionable recommendations.
Proven business partnering skills with senior leaders and operational teams, fostering accountability and data‑driven decisions.
Strong strategic thinking, analytical capability, and communication skills with the ability to influence outcomes.
Proficiency with SAP and Vena systems.
High stress tolerance and the ability to deliver quality results under tight deadlines.
Strong time‑management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple deliverables.
