Newsweek is seeking a Video News Producer to deliver high-quality, timely, and platform-optimized video and visual storytelling that strengthens our journalism and drives audience engagement. This role is central to how we present news - treating visuals as a core editorial component, not a supplement.
The Video News Producer will work at the heart of a fast-paced newsroom, identifying and producing compelling video, graphics, and visual assets that enhance stories across our CMS, social platforms, and YouTube.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Strong editorial judgment and a clear understanding of how visuals enhance journalism
- →Interest in US news is a must
- →2-5 years of experience producing video content in a fast-paced newsroom or digital media environment
- →Ability to respond quickly and accurately to breaking news
- →Proven ability to optimise content for different platforms
- →Strong organisational skills and attention to detail in asset management and workflows
- →Collaborative mindset with excellent communication skills
- →Familiarity with video editing tools and newsroom CMS platforms
- →Openness to experimenting with new tools, including AI-driven workflows
