On behalf of a client in our partner network, we are currently looking for an M&A Director (Global Infrastructure) to join their team.
Our client is a global infrastructure investment and development company headquartered in London, with a portfolio spanning energy transition, digital infrastructure, transport, and water assets across Europe, North America, and Asia Pacific. With assets under management exceeding £8bn and an active pipeline of new investments and platform acquisitions, the business is investing heavily in its in-house M&A capability. The M&A Director will join a senior transactions team and report to the Head of Corporate Development.
As M&A Director, you will lead the origination, evaluation, and execution of large and complex infrastructure transactions, from initial opportunity assessment and investment committee approval through to financial close and early-stage integration. You will work alongside investment, legal, and asset management teams and be a credible presence in negotiations with vendors, advisors, and co-investors.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Lead transaction origination, building relationships with advisors, identifying off-market opportunities, and maintaining a pipeline of actionable investment targets.
- →Oversee financial modelling and investment analysis, including infrastructure valuation, project finance structures, and IRR optimisation.
- →Manage full deal execution, coordinating legal, technical, financial, and environmental diligence workstreams across complex multi-party processes.
- →Prepare and present investment committee papers and Board-level transaction approvals.
- →Own post-close integration and transition planning, working with the asset management team to ensure value is captured efficiently.
- 10–14 years of experience in infrastructure investment banking, infrastructure private equity, or in-house M&A at a major infrastructure investor or developer.
- Track record of executing large, complex transactions (greenfield development, secondary market acquisitions, or platform M&A in infrastructure sectors).
- Deep financial modelling capability, comfortable with project finance, DCF, and portfolio-level valuation frameworks.
- Strong deal management skills, able to lead multi-disciplinary teams and keep complex processes on track.
- Sector knowledge across energy transition, digital infrastructure, or transport is a strong advantage.
