Position Overview

The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) serves as a strategic partner to leadership and employees within Neighborhood Health Association, a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC). This position supports the organization’s mission by aligning human resources practices with operational and patient care goals while fostering a positive, inclusive, and compliant work environment. The HRBP provides guidance in employee relations, workforce planning, recruitment, performance management, benefits administration, compliance, and employee engagement within a healthcare setting focused on serving diverse and underserved populations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with leadership to support workforce planning, employee engagement, and organizational goals.
  • Provide guidance on employee relations, performance management, coaching, corrective action, and conflict resolution.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, retention, training, and professional development initiatives for clinical, administrative, and support staff.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and healthcare employment regulations, including FQHC, COBRA, FMLA, and FTCA requirements.
  • Assist with HR policies, benefits administration, credentialing, workplace investigations, and employee records management.
  • Support workplace safety initiatives, emergency preparedness activities, and continuous quality improvement efforts.
  • Analyze HR data and workforce trends to support strategic decision-making and organizational improvement.
  • Promote a positive, inclusive, and culturally responsive workplace environment.
  • Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field required.
  • Minimum of four (4) years of progressive human resources experience required, preferably in healthcare or community health settings.
  • HR certification such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR preferred or willingness to obtain certification.

Job Requirements/Skills

  • Experience supporting employee relations, recruitment, compliance, and performance management functions.
  • Experience working in an FQHC, community health center, nonprofit healthcare organization, or similar environment preferred.
  • Knowledge of employment laws, healthcare regulations, and HR best practices.
  • Experience with HRIS systems, payroll systems, and applicant tracking systems preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment in sensitive situations.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
  • Strong customer service orientation and commitment to employee support.


Work Environment

In office with occasional travel between clinic locations, training events, and community activities may be required.



-This is a full-time, exempt salary position, Monday – Friday, no weekends or holidays
