We are looking for a highly skilled Specialist Data Engineer with strong expertise in Snowflake, AWS, Data Warehousing, and Data Lake technologies. In this role, you will design and build scalable data solutions, analyze complex data environments, troubleshoot production issues, and drive data engineering best practices across cloud-based platforms.
The ideal candidate combines deep technical knowledge with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, enabling them to understand customer challenges, investigate data flows, identify root causes, and deliver scalable solutions. Exposure to real-time data processing, automation, CI/CD, and AI-driven engineering practices is highly desirable.
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and data solutions utilizing Snowflake.
- Build and support Data Warehouse and Data Lake architectures, including data modeling, transformation, and integration.
- Understand end-to-end data lineage, dependencies, transformations, and relationships across platforms.
- Investigate customer-reported and production data issues, perform root cause analysis, and drive timely resolution.
- Develop and troubleshoot cloud-native data solutions across AWS and Snowflake environments.
- Work with real-time data streaming technologies such as Kafka and Flink.
- Implement software engineering best practices including CI/CD, source control, automated testing, and deployments.
- Identify opportunities for automation and improve operational efficiency through reusable frameworks and utilities.
- Leverage Generative AI and Agentic AI capabilities to enhance data engineering workflows, troubleshooting, and productivity.
- Contribute to the scalability, reliability, monitoring, and performance optimization of data platforms.
Requirements
~1 min read- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 8 to 12 years of experience in Data Engineering.
- Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake. This is a critical requirement for the role.
- Expertise in SQL, ETL/ELT processes, Data Warehousing, Data Modeling, and Data Lake concepts.
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS services including S3, IAM, EC2, Lambda, CloudWatch, and SQS/SNS.
- Experience integrating Snowflake with AWS-based data ecosystems and Data Lakes.
- Experience working with large-scale data platforms and complex datasets.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills with the ability to independently investigate data issues.
- Experience with Kafka, Flink, or similar stream-processing technologies.
- Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, automated deployments, and modern software engineering practices.
- Proficiency in Python, Java, or Scala.
- Understanding of cloud-native architecture, scalability, monitoring, reliability, and performance optimization.
