The Niemann Harvest Market Assistant Coffee Manager assists the Coffee Manager with supervising department operations including but not limited to maximizing gross margins, promoting sales, controlling inventory and expenses. The Assistant Coffee Manager’s responsibilities are assisting the Coffee Manager cover the overall operation and success of the Coffee Department, gaining product knowledge and working in a safe manner while fostering the Niemann Harvest Market culture.

→Delivers superior guest service and ensure absolute customer satisfaction
→Learns and uses the three E’s: Engagement, Educate, Empowerment
→Knows use and taste of products offered
→Quality assurance checks of department
→Proper handling and rotation of product
→Assists the Coffee Manager in supervising the Coffee associates to ensure efficient labor utilization and effectiveness in meeting department objectives
→Assists the Coffee Manager in receiving, invoicing, pricing, shrink control and inventory to ensure proper product control and that gross profit goals are met
→Supervises department safety and sanitation programs
→Performs Coffee Manager duties as needed or assigned
→Teaches, trains, and develops other Associates
→Day to day operational procedures to ensure stock level, inventory, and cleanliness
→Promotes sales, offer samples
→Promote and support established programs
→Follows all Health Code guidelines
→Works within company programs, policies and procedures.
→Follows safety policies and procedures; is a safety role model
→Other duties as assigned

Responsibilities

→Assists with supervising Associates in the absence of the Coffee Manager.
→Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
→Responsibilities include training associates; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

High School diploma or general education degree (GED);
Or one to three months related experience and/or training:
Or equivalent combination of education and experience

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Write routine reports and correspondence.
Speak effectively before groups of customers or Associates of organization.

Ability to work with Supermarket math concepts such as addition, subtraction, division, multiplication, percentages, distribution, penetration, gross profit, and Sales Per Associate Hour.

Food Handler’s Certification as required by State Law provided at store level
