Nightingale Veterinary Partners is a fast-growing family of specialty and general veterinary practices headquartered in New York City. In just a few years, we’ve expanded across New York City, New Jersey, Philadelphia, Massachusetts, and Westchester County. Our growth is guided by a mission to reinvent the veterinary experience for pets, their families, and the clinicians who serve them. That only works if the underlying systems are thoughtfully designed, automated, and continuously improved.
That’s where you come in.
Responsibilities
~1 min readThis is a high-agency, builder role for someone who sees inefficiency and immediately starts thinking: “I can fix that.” You’ll work directly with our CTO to turn messy, manual workflows into scalable, automated systems across both our hospitals and central operations. You will:
- →Own automation and systems projects end-to-end from problem identification to deployment
- →Build internal tools, scripts, and integrations across platforms (patient records, scheduling, payroll, reporting, etc.)
- →Identify operational bottlenecks and eliminate manual workflows
- →Partner with clinical and operational teams to understand real-world pain points
- →Implement scalable solutions that improve efficiency, accuracy, and visibility
- →Experiment with AI-enabled workflows to enhance productivity and decision-making
- →Track and measure the impact of systems you build
- You’re not maintaining systems—you’re building them
- Direct line to technical leadership (no layers, no tickets queue purgatory)
- Real ownership over cross-functional, high-impact projects
- A chance to shape how a modern healthcare platform actually operates behind the scenes
- Exposure to both field operations (clinics) and corporate infrastructure
Key Requirement:
- GitHub portfolio showcasing past projects (personal and/or professional)
- 2+ years of professional experience, ideally in IT, consulting, implementation, or project management
- Bachelor’s degree required (Computer Science or related field preferred)
- Comfortable writing code and working with APIs (Python, JavaScript, or similar)
- Strong analytical thinking—you naturally break down messy problems into solvable pieces
- Ability to operate with minimal direction and high ownership
- Experience managing or contributing to technical project rollouts is a strong plus
- A builder mindset—you’d rather create a solution than accept a workaround
We’re especially interested in:
- Experience with automation tools (Zapier, n8n, Make, etc.)
- Exposure to AI workflows (LLMs, agents, scripting integrations)
- Background in healthcare, multi-site operations, or service businesses
- Experience as an implementation manager, technical consultant, or IT operations lead
