Great Job for Retirees, Part-Timers, School Teachers, Coaches, and Much More. A Security Officer is responsible for the safety and security of the Events we protect. A Security Officer serves as a visible deterrent to crime and client rule infractions, detecting and reporting suspicious, unsafe, or criminal acts at or near their assigned posts that may pose a threat to the property, clients, guests, or employees at the Event. 

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Must either be registered as a Security Officer with LSBPSE, or be able to meet requirements for registration, including:
• Be at least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent
• Pass a background and fingerprint check with the Louisiana State Police
• Complete 16 hours of necessary classroom training
• Must be in good physical condition to complete necessary assignments, which might include walking or standing for extended periods
• Work in various environments such as cold weather, rain/snow, or heat
• Must have a professional appearance
• Display exceptional customer service and communication skills
• Must have open availability to workdays, nights, weekends, and holidays
• Must have a valid driver’s license or Valid photo ID
• Must have reliable transportation
• Experience not required, but preferred
