Job Description

Norco is currently seeking an individual to fill our 'Industrial Store Customer Service Representative/Loader/Non-CDL Delivery Driver' position. The Customer Service Representative/Loader/Non-CDL Delivery Driver is responsible for serving walk-in customers, loading and unloading of cylinders and freight from trucks, and delivering full cylinders and liquid vessels for empty ones to customers as a backup driver. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Greet customers in a professional and enthusiastic way
Answer telephone calls promptly
Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of products, placement, availability, price and use
Sell welding and safety products and services to customer
Process customer orders and accurately input customer order into the computer
Handle cash sales accurately
Research products needed for customer special applications
Follow up on customer orders not processed correctly and remedy situation
Determine weights of cylinders and freight on orders to be loaded on each truck/trailer
Load truck trailers so that applicable weight limits are not exceeded. Load, unload, and handle all materials so that it is not damaged while loading, unloading, or during transport
Unload trucks, move freight and return goods and cylinders to proper holding and storage areas
Deliver freight and gas cylinders to customers as a backup driver
Adhere to all established procedures, policies and safety rules
Perform other tasks as assigned or needed

Qualifications

High school graduate or equivalent
Good working knowledge of all industrial products and gases preferred
Excellent customer service skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Good organizational skills
Ability to stand for extended periods of time
Ability to frequently lift up to 50 lbs
Ability to occasionally lift up to 100 lbs
Ability to accurately enter data into computer
Attention to detail required. Must keep neat and accurate records
Class Regular license
No at fault accidents in the past 3 years
Be flexible to do other duties as assigned or as needed
