Responsibilities
~2 min read- →Interact routinely with patients, observe behaviors and communicate significant observations to clinical staff
- →Follow reporting and communication guidelines when interacting with staff and patients
- →Timely completion and accuracy of paperwork, including daily logs and forms
- →Maintains daily schedules and structure, specifically around transport times, meal times, transition times, and others outside of normal programming hours
- →Function as a member of the treatment team and provide patient observation rounds, and consistent monitoring of patient’s activities and behaviors during scheduled shift
- →Attend and actively promote recreational outings and activities with patients; encourage pro-social and coping skills
- →Ensure the wellbeing of patients and provide a positive, supportive, and structured environment; proactively respond to patient needs to improve outcomes and the overall patient experience
- →Ensure facility cleanliness and upkeep under direction of leadership
- →Assist patients with their needs and collaborate with onsite clinical and medical staff as necessary
- →Facilitate and assist with selected activity and education group sessions; document timely and accurately according to established policies and procedures
- →Oversee and manage the safe and efficient transport of patients to and from our facilities
- →Assist in orientation of new admissions
- →Utilize therapeutic communication skills and maintain professional boundaries with patients and their families
- →Be a role model for patients and create a positive culture with staff by emulating professional attitude, language, and communication
- →Assist with treatment planning and discharge planning
- →Document information regarding client care and behavior as required in established policies and procedures
- →Utilize de-escalation skills when exposed to volatile clients in an effort to maintain personal safety while also ensuring safety for the clients, and other individuals in the program
- →Assist counseling and administrative staff in responding to emergency situations
- →Maintain confidentiality in accordance with established policies and procedures and standards of care
- →Adhere to all Company policies and procedures
- →Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Requirements

- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record required
- 1+ year of relevant work experience
- Knowledge and skills in English usage, interpersonal relationships and excellent communication skills
- Must have the ability to implement and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures of the department
- Demonstrated ability to hold strong personal boundaries and ability to build rapport with patients
- Knowledge of surrounding geographic area to ensure effective and efficient routing
- Ability to organize and prioritize competing priorities and work time to balance demands
- Must perform proficiently in all competency areas including but not limited to: patient rights, and safety and sanitation
