A family in Needham is seeking an experienced, full-time Nanny to provide attentive, hands-on care for two young children, ages 3 years and 11 months. The infant will be home full-time with the Nanny, while the older child attends a nearby preschool located approximately three minutes from the home. This is a sole-charge role, and the Nanny will be the primary caregiver throughout the workday.

The ideal candidate is warm, gentle, patient, and even-tempered, with a calm presence and a genuine enjoyment of young children. Flexibility is important — the family values a Nanny who can pivot as the day requires. Alongside dedicated childcare, the role includes light household duties directly related to the children.

Responsibilities

→Provide full-time, sole-charge care for a 3-year-old and an 11-month-old
→Care for the infant at home throughout the day, including feeding, naps, and age-appropriate developmental play
→Transport the older child to and from preschool nearby
→Plan and lead engaging, age-appropriate activities and outings for both children
→Prepare meals and snacks for the children
→Handle children's laundry and light tidying of children's spaces and common family areas
→Maintain children's schedules, routines, and supplies
→Communicate clearly and consistently with parents regarding the children's day

Requirements

Prior professional experience caring for infants and toddlers
Valid driver's license and comfort driving for work-related transportation
Current CPR and First Aid certification
Comfortable and confident around water; home has an outdoor pool
Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently without parental supervision during the day
Warm, patient communication style and a collaborative approach with the family
Legally authorized to work in the United States
Must be able to provide 3–5 professional references
