Nanny Position (North Reading, MA)

Location: North Reading
Compensation: $30 per hour
Commitment Level: Full-time, live-out, long-term
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM
Start Date: ASAP

Position Overview

A warm, active family is seeking a reliable full-time nanny for their two children — an infant (6 months as of September 1st) and a 3.5-year-old. This is a long-term, live-out position in a busy household with a large backyard and a neighborhood full of children to play with. The 3.5-year-old will be starting half-day pre-k this fall, and the nanny will handle transportation to and from school; the infant will remain at home with a family member during those trips. The family is looking for someone dependable, engaged, and comfortable running the children's day independently. A nanny who enjoys cooking would be especially welcome, though it is not a requirement.

Responsibilities

• Full care of an infant and a 3.5-year-old, including feeding, naps, diapering, and age-appropriate routines
• Transportation to and from half-day pre-k in the nanny's own vehicle
• Engaging, hands-on play both indoors and outdoors, making use of the large backyard and neighborhood
• Following the family's preference for minimal screen time
• Children's laundry once per week
• Keeping the kitchen tidy and clean
• Light meal preparation for the children; broader cooking welcome but not required

Requirements

• Prior professional experience with infants and toddlers
• Valid driver's license, and reliable personal vehicle for daily transport
• Comfortable caring for two children of different ages simultaneously
• Committed to a long-term placement
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
• Must be able to provide 3–5 professional references
