As NPI Buyer at NTS Singapore you will be responsible for supporting procurement activities during the New Product Introduction (NPI) phase, ensuring timely sourcing, ordering, and delivery of materials required for prototype and pilot builds. The role works closely with suppliers, internal planning, logistics, and engineering teams to ensure material readiness aligns with project timelines. It involves managing ERP data setup, purchase order execution, and monitoring supplier performance. The NPI Buyer plays a critical role in mitigating supply risks and ensuring smooth material flow for new product launches.

Support sourcing activities including RFQs and early supplier engagement during NPI phases

Set up and maintain supplier and material master data in ERP systems (e.g., NAV/SAP), including pricing, MOQ, and lead times
- →
Execute purchase orders for prototype and pilot builds based on demand, schedules, and supply constraints
- →
Track and monitor PO status, supplier deliveries, and ensure material availability aligns with project timelines
- →
Coordinate closely with suppliers and logistics teams to ensure on-time delivery and resolve supply risks or delays

Collaborate cross-functionally with planning, warehouse, engineering, and customer support teams to manage demand changes

Monitor inventory levels and generate procurement/supplier performance reports including OTIF, spend, and delivery metrics
Requirements
~1 min readDiploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field
Experience using ERP systems such as SAP or Microsoft Dynamics NAV
Prior exposure to NPI environments and supplier coordination activities
Strong understanding of manufacturing, production planning, and material flow processes
Experience in procurement of technical or engineered components (e.g., sheet metal, fabrication parts) is an advantage
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data-driven decision-making skills
Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills with ability to work independently and in teams
