We are currently seeking a Data Engineer Snowflake to join our team in Bengaluru, Karnātaka (IN-KA), India (IN). Key Responsibilities Design, develop, deploy, and support enterprise-scale Snowflake data solutions and analytics platforms. Convert, optimize, and maintain complex SQL workloads, including migration of legacy SQL from Oracle and SQL Server to Snowflake SQL. Architect cloud-native Snowflake data warehouses, defining dimensional models (star/snowflake schemas) and optimized fact/dimension structures. Build and operate scalable ETL/ELT pipelines to ingest, transform, and load batch and near–real-time data into Snowflake. Implement Snowflake-native orchestration and automation using Streams, Tasks, Dynamic Tables, and stored procedures to create reliable, end-to-end pipelines. Optimize performance and cost through effective use of virtual warehouses, multi-cluster scaling, clustering keys, caching, zero-copy cloning, and secure data sharing. Enforce data security, governance, and compliance, including RBAC, data masking, row access policies, and fine-grained object privileges. Monitor workloads, troubleshoot performance issues, and proactively tune queries and warehouses using Snowflake monitoring and query analysis tools. Contribute to data platform migrations to Snowflake, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and consistency. Partner with data architects, analysts, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions and actionable insights. Maintain clear technical documentation for data models, pipelines, orchestration workflows, and governance standards. Stay current with Snowflake features and cloud data engineering best practices, continuously improving platform performance and reliability. Required Skills & Experience Strong expertise in Snowflake architecture, including multi-cluster shared data architecture, virtual warehouses, secure views, cloning, and internal/external tables. Advanced SQL proficiency, with proven experience in query optimization, performance tuning, and SQL modernization from legacy platforms. Solid background in dimensional data modeling, including star and snowflake schemas for analytics and reporting. Hands-on experience building ETL/ELT pipelines using dbt, Snowflake-native capabilities, Fivetran, or custom frameworks. Proven use of Snowflake-native orchestration, including Streams, Tasks, Dynamic Tables, and SQL-based automation. Expertise in performance tuning and cost optimization, including warehouse sizing, clustering strategies, workload isolation, and query profiling. Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and their integration with Snowflake. Experience with Python, Shell, or Java, including Snowflake integration via Snowpark and APIs. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple initiatives, take ownership, and collaborate effectively across teams. Nice-to-Have / Additional Skills Experience with BI and analytics tools such as Cognos, Power BI, or Looker. Exposure to data science or ML workflows, including Snowpark, feature engineering, or Snowflake Data Marketplace. Knowledge of CI/CD practices and infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation. Experience with real-time data integration, CDC pipelines, and event-driven architectures.
