Must be a graduate (B.Tech/B.E./MCA or equivalent). Minimum 10 to 15 years of experience as a Linux/Unix System Administrator in enterprise environments. Unix/Linux Expertise: Expertise in at least two UNIX flavors (Linux is mandatory; AIX/Solaris/HP-UX preferred). Deep understanding of Linux OS internals, performance tuning, and system architecture. Ability to handle advanced day-to-day administration and complex production environments. Patching & Lifecycle Management: Strong expertise in OS patching, vulnerability remediation, and compliance management. Experience with enterprise patching tools (e.g., Satellite, Spacewalk, or equivalent). Scripting & Automation: Strong proficiency in shell scripting (Bash) and good exposure to Python. Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Ansible / Puppet / Chef. Ability to design and implement automation frameworks to improve operational efficiency. Troubleshooting & Incident Management: Excellent troubleshooting skills for complex system issues and outages. Ability to lead and manage critical/high severity incident bridges (P1/P2). Perform incident resolution, problem determination, and root cause analysis (RCA) aligned with SLAs. Clustering & High Availability: Strong knowledge of clustering technologies (e.g., Veritas, Pacemaker, Red Hat Cluster). Experience in designing and supporting high availability environments. System Build & Upgrade: Ability to build, configure, and upgrade Linux servers across environments. Experience in OS migrations, upgrades, and lifecycle management. Hardware & Infrastructure Knowledge: Understanding of server hardware architectures, storage, and infrastructure roadmaps. Experience with performance optimization based on hardware capabilities. Capacity & Configuration Management: Strong experience in capacity planning, forecasting, and configuration management. Ability to analyze system utilization and recommend improvements. ITSM & ITIL: Well-versed with ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Change, Release Management). Experience with ITSM tools such as ServiceNow, Remedy, etc. Virtualization & Cloud: Strong knowledge of virtualization technologies (VMware, KVM, Hyper-V). Hands-on experience or exposure to cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP). Experience with modern platforms such as OpenStack, OpenShift, Docker, Kubernetes is preferred. Data Center & Migration Expertise: Hands-on experience in data center operations, DR (Disaster Recovery), and server migrations. Experience in large-scale transformation and migration projects. Monitoring & Observability: Experience with enterprise monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Splunk). Ability to drive proactive monitoring and reliability improvements. Automation & Innovation: Experience in driving automation initiatives and operational excellence. Exposure to emerging technologies like AI-Ops, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) is an advantage. Leadership & Team Management: Experience in team handling, mentoring, and technical leadership. Ability to guide L2/L3 engineers and ensure delivery excellence. Process & Service Delivery: Develop and implement processes and procedures to meet client expectations and deliver services within SLAs and contractual obligations. Coordinate escalations and collaborate with internal teams, leadership, and clients for timely resolution. Continuous Improvement & Strategy: Propose process and technical improvements to management. Evaluate emerging technologies and align solutions with business and strategic goals. Drive service improvement, efficiency, and quality initiatives. Innovation & Business Impact: Develop innovative solutions that improve business performance and align with corporate strategy. Contribute to transformation initiatives and modernization programs. Certifications (Preferred): RHCA/RHCE, Kubernetes (CKA/CKAD), Cloud Architect (AWS/Azure/GCP). Soft Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong stakeholder management and decision-making abilities. Quick learner with adaptability to new technologies. Positive attitude, ownership mindset, and strong work ethic. 10 to 15 Years.
