14C Medicine is a 31 bed acute care medicine unit. The 14C Medicine unit provides service to patient populations ages 18-100+ who have a variety of medical, acute care diagnoses and some cardiac conditions, such as atrial arrhythmias and NSTEMI cases. Patients require acute medical and nursing interventions such as intravenous fluids, tube feedings, pain management, respiratory care, including tracheostomy and stable ventilators, cystic fibrosis, antibiotics administration, diabetes management, heart failure care, endocarditis therapy, detox, behavioral and/or crisis management.

In addition to caring for patients, we lead groundbreaking research.  We also train the next generation of health care professionals.  As Portland’s largest employer, we give you opportunities to learn and advance in a system of hospitals and clinics across Oregon and Southwest Washington.
