Anesthesia Technician

1. →Assumes responsibility to ensure proper functioning of all equipment by using appropriate quality control procedures on a routine basis. 

1. →Works collaboratively as a team member when providing patient care to promote positive patient outcomes and to maintain continuity of patient care through clear communication and professional working relationships including pertinent oral and/or written report to oncoming relief/ancillary personnel. 

1. →Assists in placement of invasive monitoring lines, initiation of regional anesthesia and other anesthetic procedures as assigned. 

1. →Sets up all pressure transducers and ensures proper calibration of transducers and monitors. 

1. →Follows established policies for all safety and infection control practices and monitors the environment and equipment to ensure cleaning standards are maintained. 

1. →Remains available and accessible when on duty or on-call 

1. →Demonstrates knowledge of current trends and practices in health care field as evidence by attending in services for equipment, supplies and procedures. 

1. →Utilizes material, equipment, and time in a safe, therapeutic and cost-effective manner. 
2. →Responds to all supervisors’ requests for information and assists in a timely and courteous manner. 

Requires high school diploma or equivalent. 

1 year experience as an Anesthesia Technician or 2 years’ experience as an Operating Room Patient Care Technician or equivalent experience 

Basic Life Saving (AHA or ARC) 

Preferred: Anesthesia Technician certification from a National or State recognized   professional organization which requires an accrediting exam. 

Preferred: Certified Nursing Assistant and/or EKG Certification
