Cluster Financial Controller

As Cluster Financial Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial performance, governance, and reporting processes across a portfolio of five hotels within our German HMA portfolio. Acting as the most senior finance leader in the cluster, you will ensure financial accuracy, reporting excellence, strong cash flow management, and operational consistency across multiple finance teams.

This role goes beyond traditional financial controlling. You will play a key role in improving collaboration between properties, and implementing Odyssey Hotel Group’s financial ways of working. You will serve as a trusted business partner to General Managers, Owners, and Regional Leadership while ensuring that financial information is delivered accurately, consistently, and on time.

The ideal candidate combines strong hospitality finance expertise with stakeholder management, change management capabilities, and the ability to bring together long-established teams into a more collaborative cluster structure.

The position is based across Berlin, Potsdam, Leipzig, and Dresden, requiring regular travel between properties.

   Oversee financial operations, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance across a cluster of five hotels in Germany.

   Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting, including owner reporting and audit coordination.

   Monitor key financial and operational KPIs, including cash flow, labour costs, productivity, purchasing controls, and profitability.

   Drive consistency, standardisation, and continuous improvement of financial processes, controls, and reporting practices across all properties.

   Lead, support, and coordinate multiple finance teams, fostering collaboration and alignment between hotels.

   Conduct regular financial reviews and provide strategic insights and recommendations to General Managers, Owners, and senior stakeholders.

   Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and relevant financial regulations.

   Support change management initiatives, new system implementations, and the integration of Odyssey Hotel Group standards and ways of working.

   Build strong relationships with hotel leadership teams, owners, asset managers, and external partners.

1. Bachelor'/Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.

2. Minimum 5 years of finance leadership experience within hospitality.

3. Previous experience overseeing multiple properties, regions, or clusters.

4. Strong understanding of hotel financial operations, reporting cycles, budgeting, forecasting, and controlling.

5. Experience working with hotel owners, asset managers, and senior stakeholders.

6. Proven ability to lead change management initiatives, process improvements, or organisational transformations.

7. Experience working with long-established teams and driving alignment across different business units.

8. Fluent German and English.
