About the Role
~1 min readDeveloper Marketing is focused on driving the success of developer platforms, such as Android, by executing global, scalable programs, events and creative marketing campaigns to engage and delight developers. You need to have a passion for apps and games business models and understanding how developers use our APIs and tools to achieve business success.
The Events Specialist has to have a thorough knowledge of best practices in event management. This position requires a highly motivated individual with strong communication and customer service skills. In addition, the Event Specialist will focus on the needs and requirements of the Google products and programs and devise service-based solutions and best practices to exceed expectations.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- Ensure a great developer experience through High Quality Events.
- Main point of contact for client events (external and internal)
- Offer creative solutions for event execution
- Coordinate event logistics including site selection, meeting room allocation, floor plan layout, directional signage development, material rentals, catering requirements, on-site event setup/teardown
- Ensure accurate event tracking data
- Provides post event metrics to determine process improvements for future programs
- Source event vendors and create/maintain supplier list
- Coordination of vendors as it relates to events including security, AV, F&B and so on.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide tailored marketing support and co-marketing plans to key partners
- Collaborate with other developer facing & PR teams within various developer outreach initiatives
What you need to be great in this role:
- Outstanding written and oral communication skills
- Atleast BA/ BS degree in Marketing
- 8-10 years experience in B2B event/program management
- Ability to create briefs for event and marketing agencies (Creative, Events & Activations, Video production)
- Strong analytical skills
