About the Role

~1 min read

OpenTable is building a premier dining and lifestyle commerce media and data partnerships business powered by authenticated diner intent and measurable outcomes. Sitting at the intersection of hospitality, media, data, and consumer behavior, we possess high-intent dining and reservation signals, premium audiences, strong restaurant relationships, and growing advertiser demand across media, insights, and partnerships.

We are seeking a Director, Commerce Media Strategy and Growth to serve as the operational right hand to the senior director, commerce media strategy and growth. In this role, you will help run the business and maintain an extremely high quality bar for our work. You will operate across revenue strategy, pipeline management, advertiser operations, customer success workflows, executive communications, forecasting, partner coordination, and go-to-market (GTM) execution.

This is a highly cross-functional, commercial role designed for a thoughtful catch-all problem solver who has a strong bias for action and is comfortable moving quickly between long-term strategy and tactical execution in a fast-moving, early-stage business environment.

  • Strategic & Executive Support: Serve as a trusted strategic partner to the GM across all areas of the business. Help prioritize initiatives, identify operational gaps, and drive disciplined execution. Build high-quality executive presentations, strategic briefs, quarterly business reviews (QBRs), and enterprise updates for leadership. Evaluate vendor partnerships and new GTM opportunities.

  • Sales & Revenue Operations: Standardize and manage pipeline visibility, forecasting, and deal tracking across our core business lines (Ad Network, Data Partnerships, Experiential Media, and Endorsements). Implement sales process rigor across CRM hygiene, approvals, and reporting, coordinating cross-functional execution for large advertiser and partner deals.

  • Customer Success & Campaign Delivery: Operationalize advertiser onboarding, campaign execution workflows, and post-sale processes (reporting, measurement, and renewals). Identify operational bottlenecks and implement process improvements to ensure high-value partners have a premium experience with OpenTable. Coordinate actively between partnerships, marketing, product, finance, legal, and operations teams.

  • Operations & Business Management: Create structure and build lightweight, scalable systems and documentation to support organizational growth. Track key business KPIs and operational health metrics, managing special projects across media, data, experiential, and partnership initiatives while acting as the connective tissue across teams to keep priorities aligned.

  • Proven experience supporting senior executives, managing multiple complex workstreams simultaneously, or leading cross-functional strategic initiatives.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with experience crafting structured, executive-level presentations and documentation.

  • Comfortable operating with a high level of autonomy in ambiguous environments, with a track record of building lightweight processes and operational systems from scratch.

  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail, business judgment, and a revenue-oriented mindset.

  • Professional experience working directly within media, advertising, commerce media, digital marketplaces, SaaS, advertising technology (adtech), or the hospitality sector.

  • Experience setting up or optimizing commercial operations, pricing structures, packaging frameworks, or pipeline management workflows.

  • Familiarity with cross-functional corporate ecosystems, including product management, marketing, legal, and financial planning & analysis (FP&A) teams.
