Join the Opentensor Foundation as a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, leading a collaborative team in the planning, design, and deployment of application and blockchain related technologies. This role involves impactful decision-making for architecture and functionality of services. Your responsibilities include ensuring fine-tuned, secured, and resilient infrastructure that meets compliance and scaling needs. This is a 100% fully remote role with potential travel opportunities related to Opentensor relationships or initiatives. Responsibilities: - Build, manage, monitor, and scale Opentensor s cloud or tiered infrastructure. - Lead the cloud team in designing, building, supporting, and analyzing Opentensor s cloud infrastructure. - Build tools, alerts, automations, documentation to facilitate management of the infrastructure for site resilience and reliability. - Participate in technical remediations and event management in response to performance and reliability issues. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop service delivery plans, technical build steps, review code, and scale systems. - Architect end-to-end cloud infrastructure to support application and service requirements. - Demonstrate a strong understanding of secure access and authentication mechanisms, rolebased access, SSO, policies, key/secrets management and rotation, etc. - Support dynamic service requirements through monitoring of key metrics, improving performance, and meeting security & compliance needs. - Develop, test, and implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans. Participate in risk management and mitigation exercises. - Provide architectural diagrams and written documentation for all aspects of Opentensor infrastructure. - Maintain relevant codebase repos for CI/CD pipelines to assure services are properly deployed. - Monitor systems and manage performance tuning, capacity planning, and optimization for infrastructure. - Participate in on-call rotation for infrastructure and application support. - Deploy and manage primarily Linux-based systems and required applications. Qualifications: Bachelor s degree in a related technology field, or equivalent work-related experience. 5+ years of Cloud Engineering experience, with a preference for AWS proficiency. 2+ years in a team lead or management role. 2+ years of CI/CD pipeline orchestration experience. 2+ years of configuration management experience, with a preference for Puppet Preferred Skills & Attributes: - Must have a solid understanding of cloud security, risk management, cybersecurity best practices. - Must have solid experience in Linux OS systems (Ubuntu, Red Hat, AWS builds, etc). - Experience with IaC, cloud automation tools such as GitHub, Puppet, Terraform, CloudFormation. - Must have experience managing virtualized and/or containerized environments such as Docker, EC2, etc. - Experience with high availability AWS RDS, Postgres, MySQL, or other common database solutions. - Experience with monitoring systems like Grafana, AWS CloudWatch or others. - Understanding of the AWS Well Architected Framework or other related design principles. - AWS Cloud certifications and security certifications are preferred. - Familiarity with blockchain concepts and components such as ledgers, validation, consensus mechanisms, wallets, etc. - Proven experience with scripting & programming languages (e.g. Python, Ruby, Bash, etc.) - Experience providing support related to audit and risk requirements. - Self-motivated, systematic critical thinking approach to problem-solving and solutionbuilding. - Interest in the mission, vision, and goals of Opentensor to promote open and accessible technologies. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
