We are looking for a proactive and hands-on QHSES Manager who will act as the company’s Safety Officer and lead all safety-related activities across our offices, operations, laboratories, workshops, and field projects.
Safety is the primary focus of this role. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and continuously improving our safety management practices while supporting employee wellbeing, operational excellence, and regulatory compliance.
You will work closely with managers and employees across the organization to identify risks, implement practical solutions, and build a strong safety culture that supports our continued growth.
Responsibilities

Act as the company’s designated Safety Officer and lead the development of a proactive safety culture across the organization.

Drive safety awareness through training, communication, employee engagement, and practical support to managers and teams.

Identify, assess, and mitigate safety risks across office, laboratory, workshop, field, offshore, onshore, subsea, and energy-related operations.

Maintain and continuously improve the RI&E, risk assessments, mitigation plans, and corrective action follow-up.

Lead incident, near-miss, root cause, and corrective action investigations.

Review and support Task Risk Assessments, Job Safety Analyses, work permits, and contractor safety compliance.

Oversee workplace, equipment, chemical, and facility safety, including inspections, SDS administration, and hazardous substance controls.

Develop and maintain emergency response plans, drills, first aid arrangements, and emergency equipment readiness.

Monitor and report QHSES performance indicators, safety trends, and improvement actions.

Support employee wellbeing and occupational health initiatives.

Plan and conduct internal audits and support customer, certification, and regulatory audits.

Ensure compliance with applicable QHSES legislation, standards, company requirements, and continuous improvement objectives.
What We Offer
~1 min readMinimum 5 years of experience in Health, Safety, Environment, or QHSE roles.
Proven experience as a Safety Officer, HSE Manager, QHSE Manager, or similar role.
Experience working in offshore, maritime, energy, industrial, manufacturing, engineering, or field-service environments.
Strong experience conducting risk assessments, incident investigations, and safety audits.
Experience managing safety programs across both office and operational environments.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Fluent in English.
Nice to Have
~1 min readNEBOSH General Certificate or Diploma or HVK, MVK, or equivalent Dutch safety qualification.
ISO 45001 Internal Auditor or Lead Auditor certification.
VCA-VOL certification.
Experience supporting international operations and field deployments.
You'll be working with clients in the defense and security sectors, obtaining a Certificate of No Objection issued by the AIVD (Dutch General Intelligence and Security Service) is mandatory.
