IT Operations Specialist

We're looking for an IT Operations Specialist to take ownership of our technology infrastructure and device ecosystem. This role combines hands-on technical support with operational responsibilities across hardware management, procurement, networking, and logistics.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain the company's hardware inventory, including laptops, mobile devices, chargers, and peripherals, keeping records accurate and up to date.
• Coordinate the procurement of new devices and equipment, evaluating vendors and ensuring timely delivery within budget.
• Handle the international shipping of devices to remote employees and offices, managing customs documentation and logistics.
• Administer and monitor the company's network infrastructure (LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, switches, routers), ensuring reliability and security.
• Provide technical support to team members for hardware and connectivity issues, escalating when necessary.
• Define and enforce IT asset management policies and procedures.
• Manage device lifecycle, from onboarding new hires to offboarding and device recovery.
• Work with external vendors and service providers as needed.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in IT support, systems administration, or a similar role.
• Extensive hands-on experience with macOS as a primary operating system, with in-depth knowledge of the Apple device ecosystem.
  
• Solid understanding of networking concepts.
• Experience with hardware inventory management and asset tracking tools.
• Familiarity with Windows and mobile device management (MDM) platforms.
• Experience coordinating international shipments and handling customs/logistics documentation.
• Strong organizational and documentation skills.
• Good written and spoken English communication skills.
• Familiarity with AI tools and a practical approach to incorporating them into day-to-day workflows for automation, documentation, and productivity.
