The Orvis Company is seeking Seasonal Summer Fly Rod Manufacturing Associates to join our team in Manchester, Vermont, helping craft world-renowned fly-fishing rods.

Schedule• Monday–Friday• 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.• Seasonal summer position
Position SummaryThis position reports to a Rod Shop Production Lead or Supervisor and collaborates closely with Rod Shop associates and the management team.
Key Responsibilities• Represent the Orvis brand and uphold the company’s core values• Perform tasks involved in the manufacturing of Orvis fly rods, including:
Cutting, cleaning, and painting rod sections
Assembling and installing reel seats and cork handles
Affixing guides to rod blanks
Inspecting completed work to ensure quality standards are met• Follow established specifications and meet production goals• Maintain a safe, organized, and team-oriented work environment• Complete additional assignments as directed by Rod Shop leadership
Required Qualifications• Must be at least 18 years old, and legally authorized to work in the United States• Reliable attendance and punctuality• Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks accurately• Strong attention to detail and hand-eye coordination• Ability to perform repetitive manual tasks and use small hand tools• Ability to safely lift and move up to 30 pounds
• Ability to stand and move throughout the workday,
• Collaborative, adaptable, and solution-oriented approach to work
Preferred Qualifications• Experience in manufacturing, assembly, or detailed hands-on work• Familiarity with hand tools or craftsmanship-related work• Interest in outdoor recreation or appreciation for quality craftsmanship
