System Engineer

Salary Range: $100,000 to $116,000 per year

Ops Tech Alliance (OTA) is seeking a System Engineer to support DLIFLC at the Presidio of Monterey, CA. The System Engineer serves in the data center support group, with responsibility for proper configuration and support of domain system servers, SAN, NAS, backup systems, identity management, and data center security across development, staging, and production systems in a hybrid cloud/data center environment.

This position is contingent upon contract award.

Responsibilities

• Plan, install, maintain, troubleshoot, and manage system servers and applications.
• Manage development, staging, and production systems in a hybrid cloud/data center environment.
• Maintain high-availability hybrid data centers.
• Diagnose complex technical issues and develop effective solutions.

Required Qualifications

• BA/BS with 5+ years of system administration experience, OR AA/AS with 7+ years, OR 9+ years in lieu of degree.
• Active IAT Level II certification (CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, or SSCP) plus applicable CE/OS certification.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft O365, VMware vSphere and NSX-T, Linux Red Hat, Windows Server, SQL, MySQL, EMC SAN technologies, Active Directory, and AWS or Microsoft Azure.
• Deep technical knowledge of operating systems, networking protocols, storage technologies, cloud platforms, and security best practices.
• U.S. Citizenship.

Desired Qualifications

• VMware VCP or equivalent.
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator or AWS Solutions Architect.
• Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA).
• Prior DoD or Army data center experience.
